David Blum (1935-1998) was best known for his role as the conductor of the Esterhazy Orchestra in New York. In this position, he worked closely with several world-renown musicians, particularly the Honorary President of the Esterhazy Orchestra, cellist Pablo Casals. This book is a collection of rehearsal notes and advice from Blum and Casals which discuss the art of musical interpretation. It is designed to be accessible to all musicians, educators, composers, and listeners.
